I was a collegiate runner who took 14 years off before I rediscovered running. I found a local running group, started training and racing again and have some big goals for myself now as a master's runner. Some recurring injuries led me to cross train which made me realize I wasn't half bad at biking and swimming so I decided to try a sprint triathlon. That is now my favorite type of race! I placed first in my age group at my very first triathlon in 2019 and ended up winning the same race this year when I entered the Open/Elite category. My goals include racing in the Sprint Triathlon Age Group Nationals race as well as breaking 19:00 in the 5k. My "adult" (post-college) PR is 19:07 so I think I've got it in me! I'm also a full-time elementary PE teacher and I have 3 active boys. Finding time to train isn't easy but it's important to me to have that time to myself and work towards my goals. I discovered Picky Bars a few years ago and have ordered multiple times. I always get the deals when there's a Strava challenge! My favorite is the Trail Mix Fix oatmeal!
