Triathlon was my first love and entry point to the world of endurance sports. After roughly a decade of racing across all distances, I found myself looking for new challenges and started to shift my focus to ultrarunning/trail running. While I still enjoy triathlon, and have some unfinished business in the sport, I have found myself the past few years, feeling at home in the woods and on the trails, putting in the big miles necessary to compete in ultra distance races.

I feel that when combining my first hand experiences with my passion for training & racing, I get the most joy out of being able to share these things with my athletes and help them along their own journeys.
I attribute a lot of my success as a coach to the foundation that was laid out for me by my first coach in the sport, AJ Baucco. Absorbing knowledge from him and emulating the skills that I saw working for me first-hand provided me with a huge spark when I first started coaching.

I have coached a wide variety of athletes, from Ironman World Championship and Boston Marathon qualifiers, to beginners looking to cross the finish line at their first race.
The universal theme with my athletes is building a trusting relationship and learning about them as people beyond their athletic goals. Striking balance is critical to success.
I know what it is like to have a family, kids, a full-time job, and still have goals that are important to you in this sport.
Aside from coaching, I am a running shoe geek. I do gear & shoe reviews for Believe in the Run and am always up to provide a recommendation.
