I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. After moving away multiple times, I gave up and moved back to Boulder and have started raising a family here. I have two children, three dogs, and have become a professional at driving the dad taxi. I'm working on my pro license in dad jokes, but I'm not there yet.
After my swimming career ended in early 2003, I was forced into the sport of Triathlon because that's what you are supposed to do when in Boulder. After racing recreationally for over ten years, I started to race in the professional field in 2015. I take pride in being one of the only guys on that start line in a speedo.
Over the past few years, my true passion has turned more from racing and competing in triathlon, to coaching and mentoring athletes of all abilities. My background of racing in the professional field while having children and a full time job has given me perspective on creating a sense of balance in a sport that can seem a little overwhelming to many.
I find more joy and satisfaction in helping others achieve goals than I ever thought possible. Coaching athletes is one of the most rewarding and fun things that I have done and will ever do in this lifetime.
