I’m a dog lover, multi-discipline cicyclist, and a trail runner. Currently, I’ve been out soaking up the last few days of fall mountain biking, eagerly awaiting enough snow to hit the trails with my fat bike. All year ‘round, I enjoy getting out in nature, whether it be on my bike or on foot. I have several groups of friends that I regularly ride with- Mondays include mountain biking with several other rad women, where we work on technical skills and having fun. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are for fun group rides, finding new trails, and introducing newbies to all of the great local area trails. I usually reserve a day later in the week for running with a friend or two, where we can catch up and get a few miles in. Things have changed a bit since COVID, where social distancing is observed, groups are smaller, and hugs are few and far between. Looking forward to winter and spring, I plan on lots of fat biking and trail or snowshoe running. This spring, I plan on hitting the gravel hard on my trusty gravel bike, and am strongly considering giving single speed a try. It will be a bit different tackling endurance rides on a single speed bike, but I’m looking for a new challenge! I’m cautiously optimistic about racing next year, as I hope race directors will be able to adapt their events to more distanced, COVID compliant events.
